Bushwillow

Set amidst indigenous sand forest, this 4-star bush lodge is situated on a 150-ha private game reserve. Bushwillow main lodge features an outdoor plunge pool surrounded by a large wooden sundeck.

Bushwillow is conveniently located for visitors exploring the Elephant Coast. It is located just 16 km from Hluhluwe town, allowing for both a bush and beach experience.

The timber-framed rooms have air conditioning and feature floor-to-ceiling windows and décor with an African feel. The bathrooms elegantly combine hand-made basins, solid-wood vanities and frameless showers. Each room has a private wooden veranda.

Bushwillow’s staff provide guests with 3-course dinners served on the bird-watching sundeck upon request.

Guests can enjoy walks through the Bushwillow’s game park where they may encounter several game species. The property is home to many birds and a variety of trees and flowers.

Boat cruises, game drives, bush golf, and canoe trips are some of the activities that can be arranged by the property.

The spacious and tastefully decorated lounge and dining area opens out onto a large deck area, where you can cool off in the pool or rest under the warm African sun. The deck is also a great spot to watch the birds in the bird baths.

Guests can enjoy excursions to Sodwana Bay, Cape Vidal and False Bay, where you can discover coral reefs, sandy beaches and mangrove swamps. The Greater St Lucia Wetland Park (now called the iSimangaliso Wetland Park) is considered one of the most important estuarine wetland systems in Africa and has been declared a Unesco World Heritage site. Adventure seekers can enjoy activities such as canoeing, horse-riding and diving trips in the area.

By car:
- Following the N2, take the Sodwana Bay/Hluhluwe turn-off.
- Continue to Hluhluwe.
- Pass through the town and turn left at the bottom (fourth) roundabout,
direction of Sodwana Bay.
- Continue for about 1 km, then turn right onto Sodwana Bay Road (R22),
crossing the railway lines in the process.
- Follow the road for 16 km, until you reach the sign for Kuleni Game Park
(on your left).
- Drive down the small dirt track (on your right), past old pineapple fields,
for approximately 300 metres
- Once you reach Kuleni Game Park gate, enter the park and the
gate attendant will direct you to Bushwillow.

Please note that a 3-hour game drive in Hluhluwe Imfolozi is included per person for stays of minimum 2 nights or longer. This is not applicable for single-occupancy rates and reservations.
