Alpine Inn

The Alpine Inn Hotel’s main building is a traditional old Cape Dutch style house, nestled in the tranquil Garden Route area of South Africa.

Guests can chose from cottages, suites, apartments and private suites for Newlyweds as well as accommodation for family.

Alpine Inn features a Tea Garden, a cosy bar, and a German Restaurant. Other facilities include a Conference Centre and an exclusive Beauty Salon.

Guests can enjoy the great outdoors, experience strawberry picking, horse riding and a bird sanctuary. The Inn is located directly opposite the entrance of the renowned Fancourt Golf Estate and is 7 km from both the George Airport and the historic town of George.

There are 3 conference venues available at Alpine Inn, which can accommodate up to 45 guests.

The hotel can also cater for up to 500 guests for large social functions, including weddings and corporate events.

The beauty salon has also opened its doors and its services include the branch of Advanced Hair Studio in George.

New additions to our choice of accommodation include the environmentally friendly Garden Cottages (equipped with Solar-powered geysers) each with their own patio overlooking the newly landscaped pool area.

The main building offers a selection of rooms and there are other units spread over the premises. All units feature private parking for your convenience.

The units range from luxury suites, double and single rooms and larger family units. All open onto their own terraces, have private entrances and are fully equipped with fridge, television and DVD sound systems (allowing for IPod and USB connectivity). A selection of DVD movies are available for rental at Reception.

The Schwabinger Stuben is a German-style, small garden restaurant that serves delicious cuisine.

The George golf route is a golfer's haven, boasting numerous world-class courses, designed by numerous golfing greats. Among others are Oubaai (Ernie Els's signature course), the George Golf Course, and the most well-known being Fancourt Golf Estate - often host to high-profile golf tournaments.

Fancourt Golf Estate is a one minute walk from the Alpine Inn. And for those less experienced golfers, Three Chameleons short golf course is located down the road and offers ample fun.

By Car:
- From the N2, take the George Airport off-ramp onto the R404 passing the airport on your left and continue straight on the R404 towards Oudtshoorn.
- After 6 km, on the right-hand side, pass the factory, SAB breweries, and the Fancourt Hotel & Golf Estate.
- You will find us opposite the estate on the left-hand side.

- From the Outeniqua Pass or George city centre, follow the signs for Fancourt Hotel & Golf Estate.
- You will find us opposite the estate on the right-hand side.
