Franschhoek is rich in history, culture, cuisine and unsurprisingly excellent wine. While staying with us, take time to stroll the tranquil tree-lined streets, visit the Huguenot Monument representing the town’s cultural and historic heritage and indulge in the fine cuisine in one of the many world class eateries in the town, not forgetting to sample the award-winning wines local to the area.

Franschhoek offers a motor museum, restaurants, wine tasting and mountain walks. There are natural attractions in the area such as Fairview goat’s cheese and wine farm, Butterfly World, Hillcrest berry orchards, Drakenstein Lion Park, Le Bonheur crocodile farm, Goederust farm kitchen and Takbok eco trail. However there is also the Museum de Caab, Wemmershoek dam and the Bien Donne Werf exhibition grounds.

By Car:
From Cape Town international airport:
- Make your way to the N1 via the R300, turn left onto the N2 to get to the R300.
- Proceed along the N1 and just as you enter Paarl, you will see a sign for Main Road/Franschhoek.
- Turn right under the bridge and approximately a kilometre further on, turn left following the sign for R45 Franschhoek.
- It is now approximately 30 km to Franschhoek, the trip should take approximately an hour.
- Drive through the village along the main road until you see the post office on your left-hand side.
- Turn left into Reservoir Road.
- On the 3rd block along Reservoir Road, on your left-hand side is Franschhoek Group Accommodation.
- Drive into the gate and park.
- The front door is around the corner of the building, in Akademie Street.

From the north, Gauteng, Free State and so on:
- On the N1, turn off at Worcester.
- Find the Villiersdorp Road, it is well signposted and drive to, and through, Villiersdorp.
- 9 km further on you will find the bridge over the Theewaterskloof Dam; turn right onto the Franschhoek road and over Franschhoek Pass.
- At the foot of the pass, on your left is the Methodist Church across from Erica Street.
- 200 metres further on, turn right into Unie Street also on your right.
- This will lead right to our doorstep at the T-junction, turn left to Franschhoek and follow the directions given above.

From the East:
- On the N2, turn off at Grabouw onto the Villiersdorp Road.
- Just before Villiersdorp is the bridge over the Theewaterskloof Dam.
- At the bridge turn right into the Franschhoek road over the Franschhoek Pass.
- Then follow the instructions above.
