Situated in East London, this bed and breakfast accommodation is close to the R72 which is the preferred route between Port Elizabeth and East London along the Sunshine Coast.

We have made many friends since we opened our doors in 1996 and trust that you too will enjoy your stay with us. For those who are not familiar with our unique property, Oakhampton B&B has quickly become known for its personal service, high standards, attention to detail and ensuring the comfort of our guests.

The house and guest cottages are all furnished with antiques and collectables from all over the world, helping to create the Victorian style of Oakhampton.

This accommodation has won many awards as one of South Africa’s best. Your hosts are Jon and Marlene Emslie, who are both descendants of the 1820 settlers, and have a passion for the Eastern Cape and its people.

We have our own craft area on the premises. Here, Marlene and friends run a successful cottage industry, Sheer Nostalgia. You are free to pop in at any time to purchase exclusive, hand-made country and Victorian gifts.

Each unit has its own private entrance.

A full English breakfast is served everyday between 06:45 and 08:30 in the tranquil breakfast room. The congenial atmosphere at breakfast provides a wonderful start to your day. Home-made bread, filter coffee, carrot cake, muffins and home-made jams are just some of the breakfast treats served at Oakhampton.

We do not serve any other meals, but we are 5 minutes away from all of East London's top restaurants and delivery services are prompt. We can pay for your meal and then add it to your bill. Refreshments are also available.

By Car:
- From the R72, take the Pearce Street off-ramp.
- Turn into Latimer Street, then take the first right into Winkley Street.
- The road then takes a bend into Okehampton Road.
