La Gruyeres Restaurant is open daily for breakfast and dinner. La Brasserie Tavern serves a light menu available between 10:00 and 17:00 which can be enjoyed indoors or on the terrace. Room service offers a selected menu available between 17:00 and 22:00.
There is an open braai barbecue situated close to the pool area which is available to rent. Bookings need to be made at reception for both the gas braais and the open braai area. Picnic baskets can also be provided upon request.

The hotel is situated in the Drakensberg in KwaZulu-Natal approximately 20 km from the Royal National Park, 45 km from Bergville, 185 km from Oribi Airport in Pietermaritzburg, 270 km from Durban city centre, 282 km from Durban international airport and 340 km from Johannesburg.
Travel information
By Car:
From Johannesburg;
- Take the N3 motorway towards Durban.
- Once you reach Harrismith, take the R74 exit towards Bergville, Phuthatijaba and Bethlehem.
- Please note that as there is construction at present follow the detour signs.
- At the Harrismith Inn/Engen Service Station take the Qwa Qwa/Bethlehem road for 5 km.
- Turn left onto the R74 towards Phuthaiijaba.
- After approximately 8 km, turn left again, still on the R74, towards Bergville, Oliviershoek Pass and Northern Drakensberg.
- Travel for approximately 35 km.
- Once the pass levels out, take the right-hand turn off signposted for Northern Drakensberg.
- Travel for approximately 8 km towards the Royal Natal National Park, then turn right at the first road after the Tower Pizza.
- Follow our signposts to the resort.
From Durban:
- Take the N3 motorway towards Johannesburg.
- Once you have passed the Estcourt Shell Ultra City, take the R74 exit towards Bergville/Winterton.
- Travel through Winterton and Bergville, following the R74 signposts for Harrismith.
- Approximately 38 km after Bergville turn left following the Northern Drakensberg signs.
- Then follow the instructions above.
