The Colonial on Arundel

Located in the malaria free town of Addo, next to the Addo National Elephant Park, The Colonial on Arundel offers stylish accommodation. It features an outdoor pool and luscious gardens.

The guest house’s elegantly appointed suites have wooden furniture and carpeted floors. Each of the air-conditioned suites has a private entrance and a satellite TV. All the suites have an electric kettle and a refrigerator.

After an exciting in-house game drive through the Addo Elephant National Park, guests can relax in the garden or by the pool. They can also choose from a variety of activities, including hiking, fishing and canoeing.

Port Elizabeth Airport is 52 km, and Daniell Cheetah Farm is a 40-minute drive away. Free private parking is also available on site.

- Take the N2 towards Grahamstown.
- Take the off ramp Number 761 on to the R335.
- Continue along this road in the direction of the Addo Elephant Park for +/- 40 km.
- After passing through the village of Addo, take the R336 to Kirkwood (marked 31 kms).
- Travel along this road for 3 km passing the Sundays River Valley Co-op (on the right), the station of Hermitage and the Addo Polo Grounds (on the left).
- The next dirt road to the left is called the Rietfontein Road.
- Turn on to this road, go over the railway line which is active from April to October for the movement of Addo citrus, over the little bridge on the Coerney River, and 500 metres up the road on the right is our entrance.

Please note that dinners are available upon request, at an additional cost. It has to be liaised at least 72 hours in advance.

A complimentary shuttle service to the local restaurant is available daily between 19:30 and 21:30.
